Quarter Two

I chose my "Watsons Reflection number 3" as one of my reflections for quarter two. Watsons go to Birmingham talks about a black in the early 60's 100 years after the Civil war when the black men and women had not the amount of equal as white families had.

It's a funny family of four people there are Wiolna the mother, Daniel the father, Joetta the little sister, Kenny the middle sibling, and finally Byron the older brother. I choose particularly the chapters 5-8 because they are like a turning point in the whole story itself.

Byron is a 13 year old juvenile deli quint who has a friend named Buphead who both failed the 5th grade once. Byron is a really troublesome young man who likes to make his parents mad and always likes to get into trouble from his parents Wiolna and Daniel.

Kenetth is a the middle sibling who is very smart for his age and has a lazy eye. He always likes to get back at Byron for always making fun of him and giving him the evil eyes. In chapters 5-8 It shows how Kenetth is starting to tease his older brother Byron before he gets into trouble

Joetta is the youngest sibling of the 3 and is always protective of her big brother Byron no matter what he does. It really shows in Chapters 5-6 how when Byron kept on lighting matches in the bathroom when his mom told him so many times not to light matches in the house. He got caught but eventually Joetta saved him and kept on begging the mother to not burn Byron's pinkie.
